Where have I been? Part 2

Part 2 image

Well, it’s been quite a while since I was posting regularly, since May in fact. This is part 2, explaining where I have been.

You can find part 1 over here.

august

August was a strange old month. I took lots of time for myself to recharge my batteries and generally get back to firing on all cylinders. When I made the decision to leave teaching I had set out in mind several options for income, most of which were from being self-employed. The financial coaching was one strand and another strand was a 1-1 tutor for children. My pupils started picking up and I had a small group of children that I had started tutoring regularly. I absolutely love doing this! As well as coaching and tutoring, I was also doing sewing lessons and workshops, again which I love! The final strand of income was a job in a library which I started in August. I adore books and reading and so was over the moon to get and start this job.

september

September was a strange month as it is ‘going back to school’ month! I wasn’t doing this and it did feel very strange. The number of pupils I tutor began to grow and at the end of September I was able to say that I was fully booked! This was an amazing feeling; I truly love tutoring and have such a range of ages and children. I also went on holiday in September, a cheeky term-time trip! These have been out of bounds for years and it really does make such a difference to the cost. Terrible really. I went to Turkey for a week and it was just what I needed. We went self-catering and had such a relaxed week. The weather was amazing and while we were there I celebrated my birthday.

october

Due to having more time, I decided at the beginning of the summer to sign up for the Beachy Head Marathon. I loved the training across the Downs over the summer and it was great to be out running again. October was when the event took place. I had such a fantastic day! The weather was gorgeous, the people were so friendly and it really was a lot of fun (for a marathon!). The views were just breathtaking and I would recommend it to anyone. I completed it in 6 hours and 19 minutes. Mr P also took part and was super speedy and completed it in less that 4 hours. October was also our 2nd wedding anniversary and we celebrated this by going to the theatre to see Million Dollar Quartet and then having tapas afterwards. I would really recommend going to see this show, lots of fantastic songs and a great portrayal of the event. I’ve also started working with clients as a financial coach and have worked with some fab people, it really is so inspiring to see people overcoming their money blocks and have the confidence to be moving forward.

november

November was the month I got my blogging mojo back! I’m not sure what it was in particular that brought it back, but it just felt like the right time. I have even created a video and started a Youtube channel! Be sure to subscribe! I have been busy planning out content and am looking forward to sharing lots with you in 2018. Please do let me know if there is anything in particular that stumps you money-wise or if there are any recipes you’d like to see. I’d love this site to be as useful as possible to you.

In the meantime, I have got a fab Facebook community where I check in with my members and we chat about all sorts of things, money and life related. I’m planning on doing some Facebook Lives in 2018 so let me know what you’d like to see. I’d love to see you over there!

If you have any comments or questions, I’d love to hear from you!
